Project Title: Social Media and Digital Marketing project
Project Description:We are a small Heritage Centre in rural North Lincolnshire, free to the general public, which provides a platform to showcase the wonderful diverse history of Brigg and the surrounding villages and countryside. We are seeking to increase our footfall and to encourage more organised visits and events to help us raise income. We have serious concerns that our social media profile is insufficient and do not have the necessary skills in-house to create a strategy to address this.

Key outcomes for the placement are:
  • Develop social media and digital marketing strategies to optimise our services
  • Implement strategies to increase the number of our social followers (with targets established in the early stages of the placement)
  • Create effective benchmarks for measuring and analysing the performance of social media content and its impact on our business
  • Manage the day-to-day requirements of our social content and campaigns
  • Manage our social media calendar
  • Produce a handover process to suitably identified Brigg Heritage Centre staff/volunteers to ensure continuity beyond the life of the placement
  • To share learning with other similar organisations to widen the impact of the placement

  • It is anticipated that after a very brief initial period at the Centre to allow the successful candidate to familiarise him/herself with our services and our public offer, most of the remainder of the work carried out can be done remotely, with just occasional meetings as necessary.

    Skills required: Desirable
    - Experience and/or knowledge of digitisation of materials

The placement will also offer opportunities to develop the digitisation of archive materials and website development and understanding and practical knowledge of SEO plus gain an understanding of marketing needs of the arts, culture and heritage sectors.

    Further placement information:
    - Placements are flexible and the project hours can be worked to fit around your studies over the course of the placement period.
    - Some remote working will be possible, so the successful candidate won't have to travel to the placement regularly after the project is established. Travel costs will be reimbursed.
